Description of the Standards section

Types of woven wire cloth and their main differences.

Woven wire cloth is a kind of a wire fabric made by successive cross-weaving of longitudinal wires, called "warp wires" or "warp", and transverse ones, called "weft" or "shute" wires.

The warp wires are long and extended in all the structure of the mesh fabric, the weft wires are short and are equal to the mesh width.

The wires cross in the metal cloth at right angles.

In cross points the wires are not fixed with each other. The shape and size stability are assured by force of internal tension of wires, as a counteraction to the force of deformation.
